Where are the press rooms located this year?


We have two press rooms. One is in The Venetian, Level 4, Zeno 4601 and the other press room is located in the LVCC, South Hall Connector, Room S229, where it has been for the past several years.

New for 2012! As an added benefit for CES press and industry analysts, we are offering an Digital Media Center in the LVCC, South Hall Connector, Room S221, complete with ISDN lines, internet, press interview/podcast rooms and more to help make your CES coverage as interactive and dynamic as possible.

Where can press and industry analysts register for the International CES, and what will I need to register?


Members of the press and industry analysts can register online. To qualify for a press or industry analyst badge, you must submit credentials and be approved by the CES Media/Analyst Center. If you have questions about press/industry analyst registration, please contact the CES Media/Analyst Center at press@CE.org or 703-907-4365.

What are the credential requirements for editorial press registration?


One of the following:
  • Masthead from a current issue of an industry-related publication listing you as an editorial contributor
  • An industry-related article published within the past three months with your byline
  • A letter from the news director or assignment editor on station/network letterhead saying that you have been assigned to represent the organization in an editorial capacity at CES
  • Press photo ID
  • Business card from your media outlet reflecting your editorial role  

    Online publications must also provide the demographics and/or an audited statement verifying the site gets 1,000 or more unique visitors a month. The Web publication must be a previously established, independent site that is regularly updated with original and current broadcast or media-related news. Personal blogs, forums and user groups will not be considered for media registration.

What are the credential requirements for industry analyst registration?


One of the following:

  • An industry-related article published within the past six months with your byline 
  • An industry-related article published within the past six months quoting you as an industry analyst
  • Cover of a market research report from the past six months listing you as a contributor with your name, titile and company. Reports must be made independently and not solicited by exhibiting companies

Can press and industry analysts register onsite?


Yes, however there is a new process this year. All press and industry analyst onsite registration and qualification will be done by full time CEA staff. Press and industry analysts that register and/or are qualified onsite will not get lunch coupons or a press bag.

When will I receive my press or industry analyst badge?


Once registered, you will receive an email confirming your registration was received. After your press or industry analyst credentials have been reviewed and approved you will receive a second and final, email confirming your registration is complete.

Badges will begin mailing in September. If you submit your registration before December 7, 2011, you will receive your press or industry analyst badge in the mail prior to the show. If you submit your registration after December 7, 2011, please be prepared to present your credentials on-site to complete your press/industry analyst registration.

How can press and industry analysts reserve an interview or podcast room?


Interview and Podcast Rooms
Interview rooms are located in The Venetian, Level 4, Zeno 4601 and the LVCC, South Hall Connector, S229 press rooms. Podcasts rooms are availabe in the Digital Media Center in the LVCC, South Hall Connector, S221. They may be reserved for up to two hours for on-site interviews. Will there be food available for press and industry analysts?


International CES Press Lunch Coupons
To accommodate your busy schedule during the show, prequailfied press and industry analysts will receive lunch coupons for each day of the show, Tuesday - Friday (the coupons will be attached to your press/industry analyst badge). You will need your press/industry analyst badge and lunch coupon to pickup your lunch (starting at 11:30 a.m. first come, first served, until it lasts), at either the LVCC or The Venetian press room. Please note: Press and industry analysts that register and/or are qualified on-site will not get lunch coupons.

Is there broadcast media assistance available for the use of editorial press?


International CES provides Web, radio, TV broadcast media with state-of-the-art technology to help you cover the show. We can tailor a small reporting studio for you or help you find an exciting spot on the show floor and provide the equipment for a 5-minute stand-up for anchors. Whatever your needs, International CES helps you get your story.

Can exhibitors get a list of the preregistered press and industry analysts?


Yes, beginning in December, all registered exhibitors can access a list of preregistered press and industry analysts in the Exhibitor Resource Center of www.CESweb.org.

What are the keynote address procedures for press members?


The keynotes have moved this year. They will be in The Venetian, Level 5, Palazzo ballroom.

Details on entrance procedures and mult box services for press and industry analysts will be posted in the fall.

Can press and industry analysts attend conference sessions?


Yes. All editorial press and industry analysts can attend conference sessions free of charge. You must bring your editorial press/industry analyst badge for admittance. This includes Knowledge Track and Partner Program sessions.

Note: If conference sessions reach capacity, paying attendees will get priority.

Can children attend International CES?


No, children may not attend the International CES. The International CES is not open to the general public, and all attendees must be in the consumer electronics industry to be eligible to attend the show. Children, who accompany you to Las Vegas will not be granted access to the International CES unless they are over the age of 18 and have proof of industry affiliation.

Can spouses attend International CES?


No, spouses cannot register to attend the International CES. The International CES is not open to the general public, and all attendees must be in the consumer electronics industry to be eligible to attend the show. Spouses, friends and family who accompany you to Las Vegas will not be granted access to the International CES unless they are over the age of 18 and have proof of industry affiliation.

Do you accept registrations for user groups?


Currently, we are not accepting user groups for media credentials. User group members who are affiliated with the CE industry may register for the International CES through general attendee registration. The International CES is not open to the general public, and all attendees must be in the consumer electronics industry to be eligible to attend the show.
