Leverage Your CES Success Year Round
by Dan Cole

The seven-month countdown begins!  Seven more months to prepare for the biggest and best branding, networking and sales event for our industry, the International CES.

Many see CES as only a four-day show. However, savvy exhibitors know CES is the annual launch pad for year-round branding and sales. They leverage their CES success and CEA connections to grow their companies, increase their sales and enhance their brands on a global scale.

For example, next month some exhibitors will use CEA’s allied show, SINOCES in Qingdao, China, to cement the Chinese and Asian leads they made in Las Vegas this past January. CEA and its partner, the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce (CECC), produce the China International Consumer Electronics Show (SINOCES), which runs July 10-13. The event features more than 400 global exhibitors in the consumer technology industry. The 2008 SINOCES is expected to reach more than 37,500 square meters of exhibit space – the largest in event history – and will draw more than 65,000 global attendees.

Next week, look for CE companies to elevate their position on Wall Street during Digital Downtown.  Following up on the thousands of financial and market analysts CES brings to Vegas each January, CEA’s new consumer event puts a CES showcase in the heart of New York’s Financial District. Digital Downtown will bring CE products and brands directly to the highest concentration of wealthy buyers and influencers in the world as well as the titans of the stock, equity and international investment markets.

Meet Your Exhibitor Advisory Board

The CES Exhibitor Advisory Board (EAB) is your gateway to show management. As CES exhibitors, they continue to serve on the behalf of all exhibiting companies, working collectively with the CES organization on everything from housing to transportation and labor to policy changes. Having the EAB provide feedback and suggestions to the CES team optimizes the experience for all. The EAB is available to talk with any exhibitor regarding the successes or issues you face in your exhibit experience.

We encourage you to get in touch with the board at any time of the year (on-site at CES or via e-mail, phone, etc.) to not only keep them informed as your representatives, but also to learn more about the CES Exhibitor Advisory Board and how to get involved.
