A Message From Dan Cole |

How to Expand your Show Presence It may be difficult to believe, but we are already halfway through 2008 and only six months from the 2009 International CES, the industry’s premier branding, networking and sales event. By now, your company’s preparations for the 2009 show are well underway. Booth space is confirmed. Hotel rooms and airfare are being booked. You may have even started to schedule meetings with clients, partners and the press. As you continue to prepare for CES, it is important to consider your entire show participation, not just exhibit space. Besides securing the best possible booth, have you explored additional ways to enhance your organization’s presence at the show? While most companies focus on their booth as the core of show participation, our most successful exhibitors pursue a more integrated approach – one that leverages opportunities beyond the show floor. The CES exhibitor base is large and diverse, as are the opportunities available to you as a show participant. Promotional and Sponsorship opportunities can help your company achieve have a more targeted and impactful presence. Our traditional inventory includes everything from broad-exposure items like banners, badge lanyards and show bags, to more specific, targeted marketing like division reception sponsorships and our VIP buyer program. Promotional opportunities also include targeted press outreach such as CES Unveiled, press and analyst breakfasts and the Online Media Center. And while our traditional inventory of promotions and sponsorships is limited based on renewals, we also encourage you to “think outside of the box”. If there is an attendee segment you'd like to reach, a technology you'd like to promote, or a new product or partnership you'd like to publicize, we would love to discuss ways to develop a customized sponsorship opportunity for your organization. TechZones are a staple of the CES show floor, serving as incubators for the most critical, emerging technologies fueling the CE industry. If you think you can’t stand out among 2700+ exhibitors or worry that show participation may be beyond your organization’s budget, you are wrong. These highly-trafficked exhibit areas offer specially-priced turn-key participation and benefit from additional pre and during show promotion in print, online and of course onsite. Mobile Internet & Wimax, Robotics, Sustainable Technologies and Advanced Display technologies are just a small sampling of the 20+ TechZones slated for the 2009 International CES. If your company isn’t involved with these or any other TechZone technologies, consider participation today. Networking: One of the greatest advantages of a business-to-business, face-to-face event like CES is the opportunity to network with over 130,000 professionals from every aspect of the consumer electronics industry. Networking can occur onsite during CES at our product division receptions, keynote addresses and on the show floor. In today’s virtual world, CES networking can also happen online. Through the MyCES and SmartBooth portals, you are automatically connected to every registered attendee, and I strongly recommend that you consider boosting your networking potential through an enhanced SmartBooth package. The above mentioned are just some of the ways to enhance your presence at the 2009 International CES to help you ensure a successful and profitable show experience. Thank you for your participation in and support of CEA and CES and please let us know how we can help you reach the contacts you need to succeed. Continued on next page. |
