Dear CES Exhibitors and PR Agencies:

My name is Krista Silano and I would like to introduce myself as CEA’s new Exhibitor PR liaison, your PR source for the 2013 International CES. With CES  just five months away,  I’m thrilled to focus on  making sure you know how to take advantage of the many exhibitor PR opportunities that will help you in planning your company’s 2013 CES presence and promotion!

Beginning today, the 2013 CES Exhibitor PR Newsletter will be distributed to all CES Exhibitor PR contacts on the first Wednesday of every month. We will also post to CESweb.org, under PR Help in the For Exhibitors section.

Registration for the 2013 International CES is now open! Make sure you get the word out to your customers and guests. If members of your targeted community haven’t registered yet, make sure they to do it soon, so they don’t miss the opportunity to see your company at the show. Early registration for attendees carries significant financial benefits; now through August 31, registration is free to industry professionals. A registration fee of $100 will go into effect starting September 1, and the fee will increase to $200 on January 2. Each year, the International CES attracts 150,000 of the top executives, retail buyers, content providers, entertainment executives, venture capitalists, engineers, government officials and media from 150 countries.

Entries for the 2013 International CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards will be accepted August 13-September 14, 2012. This annual competition honors consumer technology manufacturers’ and developers’ outstanding design and engineering in more than 30 CE product categories. The 2013 Innovations honorees will be announced at the New York Press Preview on November 12, 2012 at the Metropolitan Pavilion and showcased at the 2013 International CES. The Innovations Awards program is judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade press.

All companies are welcome to enter the Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Awards program, regardless of CES exhibitor status. Products entered must be available for sale to the public, for the first time, in U.S. retail outlets or on the Internet between April 1, 2012, and April 1, 2013. Questions? Leverage CES PR tools and resources before, during and after the 2013 International CES by submitting your PR contact information.

To ensure that the media can find you at CES, please take a moment to list your company’s PR contact(s) in your Exhibitor Directory Profile. We will direct any media inquiries we receive regarding your company or products to the individual you indicate. We also use this list to send out updates and announcements about upcoming CES PR opportunities. The contact information will be available to all registered CES media. Please update your Exhibitor Profile, to include your company’s exhibitor PR contact information.

Exhibitor press conference scheduling for the 2013 International CES is officially underway. A press conference at CES is an excellent way to debut new products and make major company announcements. All CES exhibitors are eligible to hold a newsworthy press conference and have their event included on the official CES press event list.  Events can be held in a CES-provided press conference room in Mandalay Bay, The Venetian or the LVCC, the exhibitor’s booth or in an exhibitor’s paid meeting room. Reservations generally run in two-hour increments and come with a standard room set including theater-style seating for up to 200; three draped tables; a stage riser, a podium with a light and a wired microphone and two easels for signage. Exhibitor press conference options are as follows:
 
Monday, January 7, 2013 – Press Day Power Sessions
After a successful inaugural year, the 2013 CES will again offer complimentary one hour Press Day room reservations for companies looking to break their news quickly and directly to CES media. South Seas Ballroom J, Level 3 in Mandalay Bay will be reserved for the Press Day Power Sessions, and exhibitors will be given 15 minutes for set-up, 30 minutes for the event and 15 minutes for tear down. Press conference room will have seating for 200, a standard room set and exhibitors may not make ANY alterations to existing set. 
 
Tuesday, January 8, 2013 – Opening Day
Press conferences or events may be held with written notification before, during or after show hours, with the exception of the opening CES Keynote timeslot, 8:30-10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 8. Events held on the show floor before or after show hours require advanced security forms and hired security guards.
 
Wednesday, January 9, 2013 – Day Two
Press conferences or events may be held with written notification before, during or after show hours. However, events held on the show floor before or after show hours require advanced security forms and hired security guards.

Book your 2013 International CES hotel reservations today!  Exhibitors often need to reserve a block of rooms at CES, so we have an online room block request form that connects you directly with the hotels in Las Vegas that offer CES discounts. We also post the CES room rates, which fluctuate depending on availability. Book early before your favorite hotel sells out. Please note: free shuttles only run to/from official CES hotels- save time and money!
