The Photo Imaging Manufacturers and Distributors Association (PMDA), the photo industry’s preeminent trade organization, is bringing the 47th annual PMDA Awards Ceremony to CES. PMDA will honor six individuals for their outstanding contributions to the imaging industry, including their Person of the Year Award. International Academy of Web Television Awards
The International Academy of Web Television (IAWTV) Awards is the official Web television industry awards celebration established for digital content creators, by digital content creators. The awards show honors the best in Web video and talent, both in front of the cameras and behind-the-scenes. At the gala event, producers, directors, talent, studios and online networks meet and mingle with digital entertainment peers, luminaries and thought leaders. The event will take place on January 8 at The Venetian Las Vegas Showroom during CES. Nominations were announced on Monday, November 12 and are posted on iawtvawards.org.
Happy About “Appy Hour!”
We are happy to announce the launch of CES Appy Hour! Starting Monday December 3 CES will highlight an exhibiting company’s app each business day at 5 p.m. EST through the show. CES exhibitors will be able to submit their app for consideration via a form on the CES Facebook page.
Apps of all sorts welcome, including apps specifically linked to products. The submission page will be open November 6, 2012, any 2013 CES exhibiting company is welcome to submit their app for consideration. Exhibitors can continue to submit their apps through Dec. 15. Apps will be highlighted primarily through CES social media properties.
