The more you see, the more you earn. Play the “Explore the Floor” check-in game at this year’s International CES by earning points from checking in to areas or events on the show floor using Foursquare or the Facebook check-in app! Every time you put in your location you gain points. Different areas may be worth more than others, so be sure to check out the entire show floor. At the end of each day we will award the top scorer a $150 gift card to a local Las Vegas restaurant! A grand prize of a $500 Visa gift card will be awarded on the Monday following the show for the overall highest score.

Wireless Technology Takes Center Stage at 2013 CES

The 2013 International CES will unveil the latest wireless technologies and trends across the mobile connected universe. With more than 1,200 exhibitors showcasing wireless technologies at the 2013 CES, mobile connected devices are driving the industry as consumers seek to stay connected anywhere, anytime. CEA research shows that smartphone sales will see continued growth in 2013 and will remain the primary revenue driver for the industry. Shipment revenues for smartphones are expected to reach $37 billion in 2013, with more than 125.8 million units shipping to dealers, up 16 percent from 2012. Tablet computers also are expected to see phenomenal growth. In 2013, unit sales of tablets are projected to surpass 105 million (up 54 percent), resulting in $35.6 billion in shipment revenue, up 22 percent year-over-year. [Read more]

2013 CES Expands Focus on Public Policy

The focus on public policy will grow at the 2013 CES during the Consumer Electronics Association’s Innovation Policy Summit. The summit will host discussions from top government officials and representatives from startups and established consumer electronics companies to highlight the relationship between groundbreaking products and technology policies at the 2013 CES, the world’s largest innovation event. Speakers include representatives from the U.S. Congress, Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Google and Verizon as well as the Chairman and all four Commissioners from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). "By bringing leading government officials together with individuals from some of America’s greatest and most innovative companies, we hope to encourage a more collaborative future between policy efforts and the technology industry,” said Gary Shapiro, President and CEO, CEA.
