Produced by CEA, in a partnership with the National Science Foundation (NSF), Startup America Partnership and NY Tech Meetup, the Eureka Park Challenge recognizes entrepreneurs and start-ups with the most innovative and unique products, services or apps.
Over the course of two days at the
CEA Line Shows at CE Week, judges will interview each of the 10 finalists and view demos of their products, services or apps. On closing day, each finalist will have the opportunity to make a final pitch on stage before a live audience. A panel of four judges and attendees will vote for a grand prize, second place and fan favorite winner. The grand prize winner will receive a free booth in the specialized Eureka Park TechZone at the 2013 International CES.
“The Eureka Park TechZone at the International CES was bursting with game-changing technologies and services from budding entrepreneurs and fledgling start-ups that caught the eyes of key attendees and reaffirmed the importance of innovation in the consumer electronics industry,” said Karen Chupka, senior vice president, events and conferences, CEA. “We are excited to see the technologies on display at the Eureka Park Challenge that will fuel the next generation of bleeding-edge technology advances.”
Entries for the Eureka Park Challenge were evaluated by 12 judges. The 10 finalists were selected based on the following criteria: level of innovation and uniqueness; potential to make a profound impact on the market; feasible design; user-friendliness and functionality; and viability of business model.
